High satisfaction with telephone consultations during COVID-19 pandemic
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Danish Regions and the Association of Specialist Practitioners recommended that face-to-face consultations in secondary outpatient clinics be substituted by telephone consultations to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The present study of Wolthers and Wolthers investigates satisfaction with substitute telephone consultations in pediatric out-patient clinic mainly managing children with atopic diseases. The authors interviewed 103 of the 112 families having telephone consultations. The study concludes that 97% of the families agreed or strongly agreed that they felt good about being offered a substitute telephone consultation and that 95% felt that the consultation was useful.
