Survival of very preterm born infants has improved significantly from 2000 to 2013

This observational study includes almost 5400 preterm infants (gestational age (GA) < 32 weeks) who were born at Odense University Hospital from 2000 and 2013, including 692 very preterm infants (GA 26-27 weeks). The survival in all preterm group did not change significantly during the observation period, but the investigators report a significant increase in the survival rate in GA group 26-27 weeks, without a significant increase in any major morbidity.
