Summary SORT OUT II - A randomised study of drug-eluting coronary stents - secondary publication Ugeskr Læger 2009;171(4):226-228 The clinical outcome of implantation of the two first available drug eluting stents was evaluated in a randomized and nationwide Danish study. A total of 2,098 patients with 2,889 treated coronary lesions were randomized and followed during 18 months. The primary end-point was major adverse cardiac events (MACE). The secondary end-points were individual elements of MACE, total mortality and stent thromboses. There was no significant difference in primary or secondary end-points between the two groups.
